The PNCFL Friends of Languages Award

It is time to think of those outstanding postsecondary educators who are deserving of recognition for their outstanding classroom competency and professional involvement in the world language community.

This award recognizes an individual or organization not directly involved in the teaching of world languages, but who/that has significantly supported, championed, or advocated for world language education within the Pacific Northwest (referring to PNCFL’s six member states). Nominees for this award are not required to be members of PNCFL, however, the nominator must be.

Successful nominees in the past have contributed at various levels: local, state, and national.

Please explain how this individual has significantly supported, championed, or advocated for world language education within the Pacific Northwest (referring to PNCFL’s six member states).

Nominees for this award do not need to be a current or a past member of PNCFL. Nominees may not have won this award before nor may they be members of the PNCFL board at the time of nomination.

Each nomination must be submitted before 5:00 pm Pacific time on Saturday, January 30th, 2021.
